Watch this video again that we watched in class last week.
Now, do a little research through Google, Dogpile, Ask.com, or some other search engine, on the effects of media on self-image. How does the media portray ideal girls or boys? What message does the public get bombarded with each day concerning what is the “perfect” body? spouse? job? home? or life?
When you find information that you believe is relevant, summarize it in a new post (not a page) on your blog labeled Assignment #2. Somewhere in the text of that post, create a link to one of the sites where you found the most useful information. (Directions for creating a link are posted on this blog on the home page.) Is all the media about self-image bad? Is there some good media out there? Let me know what you find.

Mrs. Roper!!! Back again, anyway. This assignment was kind of fun. I learned alot about “body images” I didn’t already know. Alot of people do feel like they have to be pretty in the world of television and advertisment. everyone is pretty in there own ways. I do think that some of the media is okay-but it doesn’t really show who that “real” person is.

This assignment was nice although it sucks that the when researching it you come to realize how much of the population is affected by this and it truely is awful.

This was an intersting topic to look up. The way media reflects body image these days is almost ridiculous and unrealistic.

This was supposed to be with the message above lol but I did my blog on Sunday night but right now the computer that I am using says that it is 2-2-09 at 12:31 but it isnt. It is 2-1-09.
