Please work on your Glogster project over Hamlet.  It is due this Sunday!

Today in Class-Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Go to Google Image Search and find at least three different images from three different productions of Hamlet.  Post these images in a NEW POST on YOUR BLOG along with a description of each image.  Then, find at least one critique of a production of Hamlet, either on stage or in film, and give me a brief summary of the critique.  Be sure to mention the actor who portrays the character Hamlet and the critic’s description of his performance.

ALSO:  Use this class time to work on your Glogster assignment!

THANKS!

Hello! Today in class…

Superstition plays a role in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, especially superstitions concerning ghosts.  Renaissance theater patrons were a particularly superstitious lot.  In class today, I would like for you to go to Google images and find at least three images that represent superstitions and post them in a new post on your blog, along with a comment about that particular superstition.  Are you a superstitious person?  Do you know anyone who is?  Tell me about your experience with superstition.

Today in class…

I would like for you to work on the assignments you already have and VISIT YOUR CLASSMATES’ BLOGS and make appropriate comments to each other!

Also, go to www.glogster.com and set up an account of your own.  Remember, you are NOT to give your real name and or any details of your location!  Experiment with creating a practice glogster of your own.  When you get to the point of saving your glogster, click on “Private,” not “Public.”  When we begin our study of Hamlet, you are going to be creating a glogster project about the play and posting the link on your blog.

Have fun!

Just for your enjoyment, again!

Wacky Wikipedia!

Although Wikipedia is not always necessarily a reliable source for your serious research, it is still a vast collection of information which can serve as a good starting point when trying to learn about a topic.  Never cite Wikipedia as a source in a formal composition or research paper without the express permission of your instructor, especially in college!  However, the really legitimate entries have references and a list of sources that can be researched and quoted.  Click here to learn more.
